What has intelligence got to do with it?

—————————————-
If I stop the common “intelligent” person in the street and ask them a simple question about why the world is in its current state, their response will be stock standard:

1) Global Financial Crash
2) Disease & Hunger
3) Terrorism
4) Religion
5) Global Warming

Oh wow, why didn’t I think of that?!
Its a pretty sad situation when TV documentaries, newspaper articles, and expert institutional opinions, seem to be the only mediums through which “intelligent” people make up their mind about reality of the world. They never seem to be interested in educating themselves about what might be pulling the strings behind this mainstream illusion. I wonder, before blindly mentioning the above 5 problems if intelligent people bother to track back through the timeline to find where these problems originate.

If a person was ever so proud of their “intelligence”, wouldn’t they atleast ask the following questions:

  • Are the above mentioned problems connected to each other?
  • Do these problems actually benefit some people, or groups, in a substantial way?
  • Can mass media be utilized to propagate “manufactured” problems?
  • To what extent are these problems a genuine threat to our existance, and to what extent are they just fear tactics/ control mechanisms?
  • How does my lack of knowledge about the most relevant problems in the world affect my everyday life?
  • Is it possible… that the world I see, is a lot stranger than I’ve been led to believe?

Long story short, the world is in shambles today not because of the ignorance among the simpletons of this world, but because of the ignorance among the “intelligent” people of this world.

Open minded…
—————————————
You reckon you’re open minded?

I can hear some people saying, “Of course I’m open minded, what are you talking about?”

Well, maybe you are… but having conversed with people from most walks of life from around the world, its has slowly become visible to me that open mindedness is highly over-stated. Although each ones level differs to the other, one can find (by sheer weight of numbers) the following types of “open minded” people:

Pretenders – These are closed minded people pretending to be open minded. They pretend quite well, but at vital moments their ignorance shows up through their words or actions. To these people being open minded is just a fashionable label.

Selectors - These are selectively open minded people, i.e, they’re only open minded about things which they want to be open minded about, and they’re closed minded in all other aspects — which they can’t admit to — cos it undermines the stability of being in denial.

Open minds - These people form a very small percentage of the world. Open minds never draw final conclusions about their beliefs, or give opinions, or disagree, or blindly accept anything without stepping back and observing various pieces of the puzzle — visible and not visible*. They are intuitively tuned-in to be able to look past the illusory facades. And when someone makes outrageous claims which challenge the mass’ perceptions, open minds don’t discount these claims, but they step back and they take another look.

Intellects - These people fall between Selectors and Open minds as they have a tendency to be quite rigid with certain views which they’ve cultivated. They do so because they are very intelligent and thus their egos prevent them from accepting that their opinions on certain aspects about life are not as valid as they first thought. They lack the level of objectivity which open minds have. But when presented with a series of relevant facts they will open themselves up to look beyond their current opinions.

Why you’re on this blog

——————————————-—–
They say theres always 2 sides to a story… but… having spent a number of years observing ‘the obvious’ and ‘not so obvious’ I’ve come to discover more than 2 sides to every known story. Hence I won’t attempt to play God and say I’m offering the absolute truth; instead, I’ll prompt you towards the ‘possibilities’ of truth outside the mainstream smokescreen (the popular version).

So if you’re here for fast-food enlightenment this is a waste of 30 seconds of your precious time; however, if you care to know a bit more about whats happening behind the veil of mass-delusion, you will invest some time exploring the articles and videos in this blog.

The decision is ultimately yours: to make up your own mind, find your own truth, decide your own fate…

you’ll fall asleep
into this dream…

where soldiers bleed
misguided creed
as governments feed
propaganda seeds

politician reads
oh, one more speech
all honesty
is out of reach

so celebrities
& ma-ga-zines
playstation 3
lets watch TV

a world of sheep
they’re all asleep
to the wicked beat
its trick or treat…

Entity, Essence

——————————————
Most people chase after an ‘external’ entity named God cos it makes them feel secure about life… but I’ve failed to observe any such external entity. What I’ve observed instead is a creative force (within me) connecting to the external world in a sort of unspoken language. This force is not an entity, its an essence — a universal essence. When I spend my life reliant on some external entity I invariably miss the essence of who I am: the essence of understanding myself through a trial and error process called life.

By the same token I haven’t found any successful generic shortcuts to enlightenment either. Maybe these shortcuts exist as concepts, but they are just a “one-size-fits-all” mentality. Enlightenment at its core is an individual experience, and anything claiming to be a substitute has always been a cheap imitation.
